Strategic Communication
At Murdoch, our Strategic Communication students learn how to strategically communicate and engage with various stakeholders and audiences. They develop digital and traditional communication skills while learning how to apply those skills in a range of contexts, from web communication to social media to creative production and news media. Students get to work with real clients on real campaigns in our on-campus student creative consultancy, MESH, as they build a wide range of skills for professional communication in the digital age, including creating and producing content, managing social media and developing public relations and communications strategies.
Campaign Management

Presented by the Strategic Communication students at Murdoch University, Luminosity is an engaging initiative that highlights the collaborative efforts of student teams as they collaborate with MESH clients to assist in achieving organisational and communication objectives through meticulously crafted communication campaigns.
Luminosity serves as an invaluable platform for Murdoch students to showcase their innovative ideas within a professional setting, emphasising their prowess to scholars, clients, and industry professionals alike. The campaigns are subjected to rigorous evaluation by both the client organisations and a distinguished panel of industry and academic experts. These experts provide constructive and critical feedback to each team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
The Client
Many dog owners cherish the opportunity to allow their dogs to walk off-lead. It allows greater socialisation and for the dog to display more natural behaviours. It also encourages physical activity and enhanced socialisation for the owner. However, many dog owners allow their dog to walk off-lead when it is not safe or enjoyable for either theirdogs or other dogs/people to do so.
The RSPCA WA aspires to creating a simple, yet effective campaign to educate dog owners about responsible dog ownership that allows the wider community to enjoy the use of off-lead dog parks.
